There’s so many times I’ve let you down
So many times I’ve played around
I tell you now, they don’t mean a thing
Ev’ry place I go, I’ll think of you
Ev’ry song I sing, I’ll sing for you
When I come back, I’ll bring your wedding ringSo kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you’ll wait for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me go
‘Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane
Don’t know when I’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go
* I have shared part of a song and given the full lyrics below. These lines appealed to me for, often we take times and people for granted. We seldom remember that time lost is lost forever. There is no time travel back to the past to rectify it. Let’s use the moment, or as the Bible puts it, Today is the day of salvation!

Leaving On A Jet Plane

All my bags are packed
I’m ready to go
I’m standin’ here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin’
It’s early morn
The taxi’s waitin’
He’s blowin’ his horn
Already I’m so lonesome
I could dieSo kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you’ll wait for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me go
‘Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane
Don’t know when I’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to goThere’s so many times I’ve let you down
So many times I’ve played around
I tell you now, they don’t mean a thing
Ev’ry place I go, I’ll think of you
Ev’ry song I sing, I’ll sing for you
When I come back, I’ll bring your wedding ringSo kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you’ll wait for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me go
‘Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane
Don’t know when I’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time
Let me kiss you
Then close your eyes
I’ll be on my way
Dream about the days to come
When I won’t have to leave alone
About the times, I won’t have to say

Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you’ll wait for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me go
‘Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane
Don’t know when I’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

But, I’m leavin’ on a jet plane
Don’t know when I’ll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

LAUGHTER OF MUSIC

17thJUNE.jpg

I wanted to be a pianist but I am a clown.

I make people laugh when I want to make them feel the music in my soul.

I am stuck in this role for life has thrown me a curve ball.

I have caught it, made the best of it.

I don’t grumble or moan or gripe or anything.

I am happy I can make people happy.

I am glad I have a pay when many stand lacking on the sidelines.

Yet….

I wish,

For once,

I could laugh.

I wish

I could be free

To be me!

BY THE WAY

FF3JUNE

Tara kept turning around, trying to see it as long as she could.

Karl looked at her quizzically. He couldn’t fathom her interest.

The area was dotted with such places. He had seen them all his life.

He knew the story inside – cramped quarters, smoky cooking place, eked out living, yearning for something better…

He had run from it all!

He hadn’t seen the simple beauty, the rustic charm, the home!

Maybe he had exchanged the picture perfect for the perfect picture!

Now it was he who took another look.

The bend in the road hid it from sight.
