Hi Dad, why are these hills gray, dry, and dirty-looking?

They are mine residues and diggings piled up here.

Why here? Aren’t they polluting the land?

This area used to be marshy with no way to reach those real natural mountains you see ahead.

Where we are going for our vacation which is supposed to be beautiful and aesthetic?

Yes, it was unreachable until this area was filled in, and a road laid down.

Ironic that the way to beauty lies through wasteland converted by waste disposal into a passage!
