Father, I lay down my will for yours
Teach me to walk in humility and simplicity.
I lay my dreams for me in the dust
And take up yours for me.
It may seem like the cross to me now
But I know its the resurrection door to freedom from self.
You died and overcame death & the devil
So will I for this is what you want for me.
Help me to move in the spirit and not in the flesh
Wafted easily in the stream of the power of your Spirit.
Help me to cease from striving,
Daily finding my rest on your breast
May I live secure and strong,
Watered and refreshed, running my own race, Learning not to create a wrong or wound,
Walking daily under the cadence of your constant grace!
