IF SOMETHING IS OF HIM

If something is of God,
He’s committed to see it through.
Though it may seem delayed,
Yet it won’t ever be denied!

If something doesn’t really fit
I’d rather stand with Him in tryst.
When He’s shown me its His will,
I know He wants me to be oh still!

If things don’t seem to go very well,
I find it hard to sit quiet and just be still.
When I know I can get it done so well,
It really strains me to be resting, not run pell mell!

If things seem to go awry or bust,
That He’s still in control not what I distrust!
Its people’s lethargic ways I cannot digest,
Father, give me grace to walk in childlike trust!

If everything seems fine and naught to dread,
I still care not to rush where angels do fear to tread.
God’s in heaven there’s nothing to be worried,
He will take care to see everything is in good stead!

God’s timings are always very perfect,
Though it often seems impossible to be true.
He’s always on time in what He needs to do,
He won’t disappoint but always come through!

It’s so liberating to say, “Lord, I don’t know what to do but my eyes are on You & I’m going to watch You work it all out.” #JoyceQuote #SeekHim

WRITING ARIGHT

God has written beforehand your story
He’s formed it to be for His glory,
He’s chosen you the hero in theory,
He is waiting for you to accept His reality!

God has written the plot of your story,
He needs you to trust Him in totality,
He does everything in sync with His sagacity,
He will cover you with His kindness and mercy!

God is waiting to rewrite your story,
Kindly sit down and take an inventory.
Throw out things that will boost your depravity,
Take in that which will make you good and holy!

God is continuing to write your story,
It will surely and truly end in His glory,
Choice is yours to be rooted in His family,
Then you will surely be part of history!

SAVOR OF THE SEASONS

Every season has its own beauties, its own duties, its own blessings and it’s own lessons.

SEASONAL CHANGE

Spring is the time of new beginnings that comes after the hibernating quietness of winter. New shoots, new growth, new sprouting, new leaves… Its a time of new life, exhilaration at the stirrings of nature, excitement at the newness of it all. Its wonderful to see the earth shake and shrug off its widow mantle of white and begin to don a garb of colors, green, brown and more!

Summer brings the fullness of growth and the budding of the fruit. A time of hard work, tears and sweat, it carries within itself a hint or hope of a harvest to reap. The heat of the day becomes a harbinger of the cool of the night ahead. The color spectrum moves more towards the blue-green-yellow end, a vividness that displays the splendor of the earth in its fullness!

Autumn comes in to paint with its brush of yellow, orange, red, brown colors, to mellow the ground and everything else. The fruit has ripened, the grain grown great and everything bows low so it is easy to be divested of its pregnant burden. There is a rush to gather in the harvest, for a chillness in the air portends the impending cold. There is a scrambling to finish the gathering, to maximize the storing of resources for the season that’s just around the corner!

Winter with its monochrome whiteness seems to speak of the stillness of death, but in reality is truly the quietness of rest and restoration. Earth and it’s minions have earned their Sabbath sleep and no one can grudge them that, for they have toiled hard. Even the waters slumber under their blanket of frozen whiteness, but underneath lies a world of actively teeming life just waiting for the call to come forth renewed!

CYCLE OF LIFE

Life is programmed for and as a cycle of growth stages, with even the moon and the tides growing through a waxing and waning. The beauty of the mountains is the contrast of heights and valleys, while repeated retreat of the sea waves is the true cause of a delight to stand before it.The courtship, the building of a nest, the birthing there in, the growth that brings spreading of wings is all a preparation for the flight from and dismantling of the nest. After a period of rest, life then moves on to a new cycle, a new place, a new nest, a new everything.

Nature’s example gives hope for mankind, to evolve and grow with each season of life, without resistance or solemn refrain though there maybe pain!

Life, cannot be stopped but will bubble forth, unless you dig a grave and build an epitaph over it – consistently constantly continuously!Keep moving with life and don’t build a tomb!

DITCH THE FIX

Don’t try to fix your spouse,
It doesn’t work that way.
You’ll only end up in a grouse,
However much you pray!

Don’t try to change your spouse,
It won’t happen whatever you say.
You will only end up in the doghouse,
If God cannot be your stay!

Don’t try to bully your spouse,
Whatever transpires in your day
You will end up smashing your house,
If you continue to be in the fray !

God didn’t make two as one,
For you to walk away.
He wants you to be like His Son,
Loving even when people go astray!

God unites man and woman in holy matrimony,
To reflect Him to the world in simple harmony.
Marriage is meant to be a romantic symphony,
We have made it to be a confused cacophony!

So rise up to build your home in godly dignity,
Don’t wait to see who will surrender in abject humility.
God has placed a treasure within your ability,
He will help you win in spite of human frailty!
