TRUE LIGHT

Twinkle, twinkle little star

How you are lost in the neon lights!

Up above you shine so bright

Yet no one sees you in the world so bright!

When the blazing power blows out,

When there is nothing seen at all,

Then we see your little light,

Shining as always, quiet in your might!

To the one who lives in the flashy lite

You are nothing more than a dot in the night!

But to the one who wanders seeking a spot in the blight

You are the sight that leads to the life!

  1. Teeeeee-riffic, Sabina! Neat little poem and fun to read. My mom would have read something like that to me.

Five out of five planetoids. 🙂

  2. I love your poem. It reminded me of my trip to the big apple and Times Square, where the night sky had vanished, due to light blight. Now each night as I walk my dog I look up and wonder at the multitude of stars in the night sky.
